Arcosa Wind Towers is looking for a motivated, results and people-oriented Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive positive change utilizing project management and CI and lean methodologies. This individual will work within elements of the sciences of manufacturing and industrial engineering while keeping continuous improvement fundamentals at the forefront. The right candidate will use effective project management practices and be focused on identifying and implementing solutions to improve employee morale, product quality, efficiency, productivity, and safety performance throughout the plant. Generally, this position’s coverage occurs during 1st shift but flexibility to provide coverage for occasional projects and tasks occurring off-shift is essential. The right candidate will have a positive attitude and possess the aptitude and drive to take initiative to make things happen on their own.Location: Belen, NMWhat You’ll DoWork cross-functionally with and provide CI support to all departments/business disciplines including production, safety, quality, engineering, and maintenanceProvide engineering / CI support for improvement projects, product changeovers and process improvement Kaizens and workshopsFacilitating training as needed (continuous improvement tools / lean concepts, product / process rollouts, process updates etc…)Utilize project management techniques including effective communication, implementation, cost/benefit analysis, and resource allocationUse various Microsoft and other computer software to track/manage projects, evaluate production processes, and create visual aids / management toolsBe intentional in developing relationships with shop floor employees, learn their processes and be an advocate for sounding opportunities around production, quality, safetyWhat We’re Looking For (preferred Qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field1+ years of experience in manufacturing; experience with continuous improvement preferredExperience and moderate proficiency in MS Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Projects, and Vizio) requiredBasic understanding of or experience with VBA preferredExperience in providing training/coaching across multiple levels within an organization preferredAbility to multi-task and effectively prioritize projects and tasksMust be able to work independently and with a teamExcellent communication skills across multiple mediums (verbal, written, electronic)Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and levels of cleanlinessWorking ConditionsFull-time positionWork environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysCandidates should be comfortable working in industrial environments, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperaturesAbout UsArcosa, Inc., headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a growth-oriented manufacturer of infrastructure-related products and services with leading positions in construction, energy, and transportation markets.At Arcosa We Are Unified In Our Commitment To Build a Better World.
