About the Free Impact Little Library ProgramThe Free Impact Little Library program expands access to free, culturally responsive books for children and families in under-resourced communities. By placing and maintaining Little Libraries in neighborhoods, schools, and community spaces, the program promotes literacy, joy, and lifelong learning.Position SummaryThe Program Manager will lead the day-to-day management, growth, and sustainability of the Free Impact Little Library program. This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional who is organized, community-centered, and passionate about literacy, youth development, and equitable access to resources.The Program Manager will oversee planning, partnerships, volunteers, inventory, and reporting while working closely with leadership to scale impact responsibly.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Management & ImplementationManage daily operations of the Free Impact Little Library programCoordinate the placement, maintenance, and restocking of Little Library sitesDevelop and maintain program timelines, workflows, and documentationEnsure program activities align with organizational mission and valuesCommunity Engagement & PartnershipsBuild and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and local partnersSupport community-based events related to literacy and family engagementServe as a program ambassador representing ImpactHumanity Inc.Inventory & LogisticsTrack book inventory, donations, and distributionEnsure books are age-appropriate, culturally responsive, and inclusiveCoordinate volunteers and community partners supporting library upkeepData, Reporting & ImpactTrack program metrics such as books distributed, sites supported, and families reachedCollect stories, photos, and testimonials to demonstrate impactPrepare regular reports for leadership, board committees, and fundersCollaboration & GrowthCollaborate with the Programs Chair and Executive Director on strategy and expansionSupport grant-related reporting and program documentation as neededIdentify opportunities to grow and strengthen the program sustainablyQualificationsPassion for literacy, youth development, and community-based workExperience managing programs, projects, or community initiatives (nonprofit experience preferred)Strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with a small teamComfortable working in diverse communities and environmentsBasic data tracking and reporting skillsValid driver's license and ability to travel locally preferredWhat We OfferMeaningful, community-centered work with visible impactFlexible work structureSupportive, mission-driven leadership and boardOpportunity to shape and grow a signature literacy programProfessional growth within a values-aligned organizationHow to ApplyInterested candidates should submit a resume and brief statement of interest explaining why they are passionate about literacy and community impact.
