The responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and operation of 3D printing and wax production equipment, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of printed designs. The assistant will also assist with routine maintenance of machinery and contribute to a collaborative production environment.3D Printing & Wax HandlingAssist with operating wax 3D printers (setup, start jobs, monitor prints)Remove, clean, and post-process wax prints carefullyInspect wax models for defects (cracks, layer issues, incomplete prints)Label, organize, and track wax models for castingProduction SupportPrepare waxes for casting (spruing support, storage, handling)Maintain cleanliness and organization of print and wax stationsAssist with printer maintenance (resin/wax refills, cleaning, basic troubleshooting)Track daily print jobs and report issues to senior techniciansQuality ControlEnsure wax models meet quality standards before castingFollow proper handling techniques to avoid breakage or distortionCommunicate print or design issues promptlyDocumentation & WorkflowLog print jobs, failures, and reprintsHelp maintain production schedules and timelinesFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelinesQualificationsHigh attention to detailComfortable working with small, delicate componentsWillingness to learn jewelry production processesReliable, organized, and punctualPreferred(Nice to have)Experience with 3D printers (wax or resin)Jewelry manufacturing or casting experienceFamiliarity with CAD files or design workflowsExperience working in production, manufacturing, or lab environmentsJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 – 50 per weekBenefits:Employee discountPaid time offAbility to Commute:New York, NY 10036 (Required)Work Location: In person
