OS/Software Engineer

OS/Software Engineer Location: Onsite – expected to primarily work from an HPE office. Job Summary Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and affects hardware design. Responsibilities Partner with multiple project teams and internal/out-sourced development partners on all stages of operating system enablement for complex products and platforms. Perform solution analysis, testing, integration and identify/debug issues during OS test and enablement on Synergy products. Provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk. Collaborate and communicate design status, project progress, and issue resolution with partners. Develop reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for assigned system portions or subsystems. Education and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Typically 2-4 years of experience. Knowledge and Skills Experience with multiple operating systems (VMware, Linux, Windows) and test tools. Familiarity with software systems design tools and languages. Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to execute test plans, debugging, and testing scripts/tools. Proficient in English and local language.
