Operations and Process Development Manager Overview: The Operations and Process Development Manager will play a key role in building company value within an underground utilities and plumbing company by developing efficient, scalable systems. This position will be responsible for establishing and refining operational processes, implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure accountability and drive improvements. The ultimate goal is to increase profitability, improve customer satisfaction, and create long-term value for the company. Once the majority of procedures and processes have been implemented, the manager will focus on monitoring and optimizing these systems to sustain growth and success. Key Responsibilities: Process Development: Design and implement operational and financial procedures tailored to the company’s needs, with a focus on increasing profitability and operational efficiency. Building Company Value: Contribute to long-term business growth by developing processes that enhance productivity, lower costs, and ensure scalable operations. SOP Development: Create clear, actionable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency across all areas of the company. KPI Development: Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Use KPIs to identify areas for improvement and hold teams accountable. Profit Maximization: Implement processes aimed at improving cost efficiency, reducing operational waste, and increasing overall profitability. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that processes are designed not only for internal efficiency but also to enhance customer satisfaction by improving service quality, reliability, and responsiveness. Accountability: Foster a culture of accountability by ensuring that all team members are aligned with company goals, including profit growth and customer satisfaction, and by holding them accountable for achieving KPIs and following SOPs. Team Organization: Organize team efforts to ensure that all employees are contributing to growth and aligned with the company’s mission to deliver excellent customer service and maximize profitability. Post-Implementation Responsibilities: Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor SOPs and KPIs to assess how well processes are supporting company growth, increasing profits, and improving customer satisfaction. Make adjustments where necessary. Continuous Improvement: Regularly analyze operational data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement. Update and refine SOPs and KPIs as business needs evolve, ensuring processes remain effective and aligned with goals for profitability and service excellence. Performance Audits: Conduct regular audits of both financial and operational systems to ensure compliance with SOPs and evaluate performance against KPIs. Address any inefficiencies that may impact profit margins or customer satisfaction. Profit and Value Growth: Strategically adjust processes and practices to maximize profits and add value to the company over time, with a focus on long-term sustainability. Customer Experience Focus: Implement process improvements aimed at enhancing the customer experience, reducing service response times, and increasing satisfaction levels, which in turn contribute to company growth. Reporting and Feedback: Report on the company’s performance in terms of profit growth, customer satisfaction, and overall operational effectiveness. Provide insights and actionable feedback to senior management to guide strategic decisions. Adapting to Industry Changes: Stay up-to-date with trends and innovations in the underground utilities and plumbing sectors. Integrate new technologies and best practices into company SOPs to remain competitive, improve service, and drive profitability.
