Join a team of attorneys and auditors who do just that and much more.In California, the Attorney General has the primary responsibility for regulating and supervising charitable organizations and trustees, and professional fundraisers. To carry out this responsibility, the Charitable Trusts Section investigates and prosecutes financial abuse, mismanagement, and fraudulent solicitation by charity directors, charitable trustees, and fundraisers in civil courts, and defends charitable gifts in probate courts. The Charitable Trusts Section also reviews material transactions of nonprofit corporations, such as mergers and asset sales.
