Wealth Management Intern
WHO are we looking for?CAPTRUST is seeking an Institutional/Wealth Planner Intern to join our retirement planadvisory and wealth planning team. This includes support of our marketing efforts, ongoing client service projects, financial planning, onboarding new and wealth and institutional clients, and working with us to develop new strategies and solutions to better serve our clients.CAPTRUST interns must maintain professional and ethical standards, be well organized, service oriented, and capable of performing under tight deadlines. Completion of an internship may lead to, but does not guarantee, future full-time employment. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:ResponsibilitiesInstitutional Job Responsibilities:Support business development activities such as prospecting initiatives, research for potential COIs, creating and analyzing client reports for presentation, and providing client service when neededAssist Client Management Consultant team in the preparation and review of quarterly performance reportsAssist in the preparation and review of fee and expense benchmarking analysis and reports for qualified retirement plansAttending client investment committee meetings to observe (upon invitation from advisor)Attending Participant Advice sessions with our plan advisors to observe participant meetingsLearn and develop qualified and non-qualified retirement plan knowledge and skillWork closely with financial advisors, client service, and peers on the Institutional teamWealth Job Responsibilities:Support the transition of client’s financial planning data into our financial planning system, WealthView, specifically the data of clientsSupport business development activities such as portfolio analytics and marketing deliverables with prospective clientsAssist in support of updating our Customer Relationship Management System and databaseLearn WealthView, BlackDiamond and other planning software(s)Learn key professional presentation and relationship building skillsLearn and develop financial planning knowledge and skillsWork closely with financial advisors, client service, and peers on the Wealth Planning teamQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Actively pursuing Undergraduate/Graduate degree; rising Junior or Senior preferredAll School of Business Majors (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Financial planning, or Taxation (preferred)Significant interest in the workings of retirement plans and private wealth managementDesired Qualifications/Skills:Strong critical thinker who is a strong self-starterHigh-level proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExcellent communication and writing skillsOrganized, detail-oriented and able to multitask with proven ability to plan and achieve resultsDemonstrate highest personal ethics and integrityAbility to maintain absolute confidentiality of informationTeam player, collaborative, able to work with and through othersWHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?Our colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
