Senior Director, Product Management
TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a talented, experienced Senior Director, Product Management to join our development team in the Round Rock, Texas office.
POSITION SUMMARY
TransCore is seeking an experienced individual with a strong track record of defining and delivering complex, integrated hardware-software products in a Scrum-based Agile environment. This role is responsible for product vision, strategy, and roadmap ownership across real-time embedded systems and enterprise software platforms. This position ensures alignment between product investments, business objectives, and customer needs. In close partnership with Product Owners and Program Managers, this role translates strategy into prioritized product outcomes that Agile teams can execute effectively. The successful candidate will be technically fluent, commercially aware, and experienced in managing products that span embedded systems, enterprise platforms, and AI/ML-enabled capabilities within a matrixed organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Strategy & Vision
Works with Executive Management to define and own product vision and long-term roadmap
Align strategy with business objectives and market opportunities
Continuously evaluate competitive landscape and emerging technologies
Roadmap Ownership & Prioritization
Develop and maintain multi-quarter product roadmap
Prioritize features based on value, revenue, and feasibility
Align roadmap with Program Manager delivery capacity
Remains aware of Project Delivery schedules and assist scrum team with alignment to those
Customer & Market Engagement
Engage product owners, stakeholders and project teams
Gather and translate feedback into product direction
Product Requirements & Backlog Direction
Define product requirements and epics with Product Owners
Guide Product Owners on backlog priorities
Ensure alignment with roadmap and milestones
Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner with Program Managers, Engineering, and Scrum Masters
Support Agile execution without owning ceremonies
Business Case & Value Realization
Partners with Executive management to define business cases for product investments
Define KPIs and ensure delivery of business value
Product Launch & Go-To-Market Support
Support positioning, pricing as needed.
Ensure product readiness for launch
Lifecycle Management
Own full lifecycle from concept through sustainment
Drive decisions on enhancements and product evolution
QUALIFICATIONS
8-10 years product management experience
Experience in Agile / Scrum environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Transportation experience with a strong preference in toll and/or congestion pricing solutions
PREFERRED
Technical degree (Engineering, Computer Science, or related)
Experience with embedded systems and enterprise software
Familiarity with AI / ML concepts
Experience supporting large-scale deployments
