This role is responsible for verifying that every shipment is complete, accurate, fully functional, and aligned with the customer order. Acting as the final release checkpoint, this position ensures all parts, accessories, documentation, voltages and configurations are correct prior to shipment. This position plays a critical role in preventing customer complaints, field issues and returns while protecting the Anton Paar brand and customer experience.In addition, this role with be trained as backup to:Perform mock installations of instruments to simulate the end-customer experience. By replicating real-world setup and operation, the technician validates product readiness, usability, and completeness before release. When capacity allows,Support incoming inspection activities to verify that received materials meet Anton Paar's quality standards.The Customer Experience & Final Release Quality Technician is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding Anton Paar's quality standards.PrimaryFinal Shipment Verification & ReleasePerform comprehensive inspections of all outgoing instruments and part shipmentsVerify completeness and accuracy of parts, accessories, documentation, labelling, and configurations against customer ordersConfirm voltages, country-specific requirements, serial numbers, and BOM accuracyEnsure packaging integrity and compliance with shipping standardsRecord inspection results in SAP and controlled formsCommunicate and escalate discrepancies; authorize final quality release prior to shipmentBackupMock Installations & Customer Experience ValidationPerform mock installations according to defined protocols to simulate the end-customer setup experienceEvaluate functionality, configuration accuracy, and usabilityIdentify missing components, documentation gaps, or performance concernsGenerate clear reports and provide structured feedback to Engineering, Production, and PlanningTrack installation time and document findings on production ordersIncoming Inspection & Continuous Improvement SupportAssist with inspection of incoming materials and verify part numbers, quantities, and conditionDocument nonconformances in SAP and coordinate resolution with Purchasing and QualityIdentify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to reduce field issues, returns, and customer complaintsAll other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceThe Customer Experience & Final Release Quality Technician typically needs a combination of experience and technical skills.High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.More than one year of experience in quality inspection, technical assembly, installation, or related production rolesKnowledge of quality inspection practices and proceduresAn eye for detailExcellent communication skills - reading, writing, speakingPreferred:Associate or bachelor's degree in technical or science field preferred Knowledge of scientific instrumentationExperience with shipping inspection and packaging activities preferredExperience performing equipment installations or troubleshooting preferredExposure to Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologiesExperience in ERP systems (SAP preferred)Skills and Qualifications:The Customer Experience & Final Release Quality Technician uses technical knowledge and strong judgment to protect the customer experience.Accountability: Effectively completes tasks on time with minimal supervision, sets realistic goals and follows through on commitmentsCritical Thinking: Performs analysis to help diagnose and resolve issues encountered during the production processCollaboration: Working well with others on internal teams by using effective interpersonal skillsCommunication: Providing clear feedback and timelines to the Team Leaders to ensure production goals are met.Integrity: Behaves honorably even when no one is watching and follows moral and ethical principles in all areas of work including decision making, interacting with colleagues, and serving customersProblem Solving: Ability to effectively identify issues, evaluate options, and resolve in the best interest of the organizationQuality of Work: Works to the highest of quality standards by anticipating problems, testing and checking their work, and paying close attention to detail on both the instruments and the proceduresWho we are:Anton Paar's high-precision instruments help our customers develop every-day products from your shampoo to your shoes, your lunch and favorite beverages, your computer and medication, jet engines, batteries and the pavement on which you commute every day.
