Outpatient Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) Position SummaryThe Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to individuals and families across the lifespan in an outpatient setting. The physician focuses on preventive care, health maintenance, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions while fostering long-term patient relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide outpatient primary care services to patients of all agesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuriesManage chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart diseaseDeliver preventive care, including annual exams, health screenings, and immunizationsProvide age-appropriate health education and lifestyle counselingOrder, interpret, and review diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imagingPerform in-office procedures within scope of practiceCoordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary servicesDocument patient encounters accurately and timely in the medical recordParticipate in quality improvement, population health, and patient safety initiativesAdhere to evidence-based guidelines, regulatory requirements, and ethical standardsQualificationsMedical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited Family Medicine residency programBoard eligible or board certified in Family MedicineActive state medical license or eligibility for licensureStrong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skillsCommitment to high-quality, patient-centered outpatient careWork EnvironmentOutpatient clinic setting onlyTypical schedule includes weekdays; limited or no call depending on practice modelPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout the clinicManual dexterity to perform examinations and minor proceduresAbility to assist with patient mobility as needed
