For information, visit www.saintclares.com.ResponsibilitiesExercise physiologists perform duties as defined by the State of New Jersey and standards established by the American Association of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and the American College of Sports Medicine. This includes an exercise physiology evaluation and treatment of Phase 2 and Phase 3 patients. Fostering a safe and effective exercise environment, implementing programs established by the department and other professional duties as needed. Responsible for supervising monitored and maintenance patients. Duties include case management for the Phase 3 patients. Duties can also include initial exercise evaluation of patients with complex medical needs, initial exercise session instruction, progression of exercise prescription per protocols, and education on risk factor modification. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry tracing and patients response to exercise.QualificationsEducation and Work Experience Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. A BS in Exercise Science or related field is required. 1 to 2 years of experience in a hospital based cardiac or pulmonary rehab program preferred. Strong written and verbal skills.
