UT-AFO-1101-Aircraft Maintenance and Repair-ENT | Wichita, Kansas, United States [About the Role] Join a dynamic aircraft maintenance and repair team in Wichita, KS as an Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Technician. You'll play a vital role in ensuring aircraft safety and performance while working in a collaborative, process-driven shop environment. This position is ideal for those passionate about aviation, continuous improvement, and hands-on technical work.[Responsibilities]- Perform basic to semi-complex maintenance and both scheduled and unscheduled repairs on aircraft components- Safely handle, maneuver, and transport large aircraft wheels and brakes- Mix and apply primer/paint for painting functions as required- Maintain equipment and adhere to Five S's principles for a clean, efficient workspace- Consistently identify process improvements and participate in process enhancement initiatives- Proactively recognize safety hazards and contribute to a safer work environment- Provide limited training to other technicians when qualified- Comply with all hazardous waste handling regulations- Carry out additional assigned duties as needed[Required Skills and Experience]- Experience in aircraft maintenance or mechanical repair- Knowledge of manual handling and safe lifting practices (up to 35 lbs)- Familiarity with painting and mixing techniques- Strong commitment to workplace organization and process improvement- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods- Understanding of safety standards and hazardous waste protocols[Preferred Skills]- Previous experience in a repair and overhaul shop- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies- Experience training others in technical settings[Benefits]- Competitive hourly pay rate of $23.04- Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm- Opportunity for career growth through skill development and process improvement- Supportive team environment that values safety and innovation- On-the-job training and mentorship[How to Apply]
