The SPM is accountable for assignment of projects, development of direct report Project Managers and profit/loss of projects. The SPM is also responsible for measurement and forecasting project financial performance and reporting to executive leadership. The SPM is accountable to confirm company Project Management systems are implemented as well as execution of contract and work to ensure meeting margin expectations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Accountable for execution of contracted work in a profitable manner. Meeting or exceeding anticipated gross marginsConfirm accurate measurement, forecast and reporting of project financialsLead and implement company safety program creating a “best in class” safety cultureManage and lead respective Project Management Group to maximize profitability through operational excellence and human resource strategies. These include:Managing and leading Project Managers in accordance with company strategyProper implementation of company Project Management system and tacticsCollaborate with foremen to maximize operational efficiencies including productivityRegular collaboration with Project Managers to discuss project status, forecasts and contractual issues in a proactive mannerMeet or exceed operational required results for Project Management along with continual improvement proceduresInterface with CAD Department and shops to ensure proper implementation of fabrication and lean construction methods to maximize margins, quality and safetyOversee project procurement to ensure cost savings and timely deliveries of major subcontracts, major equipment and long lead itemsEnsure proper staffing capacity within budgeted overheadWork with Regional and Executive Leadership to ensure proper staffing in relation to Contractual obligations and budgeted overhead.
