School Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for a full-time School Based Speech Language Pathologist - SLP CCC in Baltimore, MD, who will provide support to teachers, assistant teachers, educational aides, administrators, other school personnel, and families. This private school supports students ages 5-21 with disabilities and autism.PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION(S):Provides full speech and language assessment and evaluation, direct and consultative services, as mandated through the IEP process and directed by the local school jurisdiction.Follows COMAR as it relates to services, documentation, licensure, and billing requirements. (school)Develops IEP goals and objectives that meet the individual needs of the student or clientParticipates in state testing practices.Maintains compliance with required documentation standardsProvides feedback, direction, and staff training regarding the use of assistive technology and audiological services in collaboration with the associated system.Consults with parents and other professionals to guide and collaborate on speech and language-related needsConsults with other staff in the development and implementation of programs for remediation as needed.Provides yearly audio metric, and Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) screenings for students at Chimes School.Participates as a member of the Team Meeting as required.Attends and participates in in-service training, staff meetings, and other activities to facilitate professional development.Attends work regularly according to assigned work schedule and in accordance with Agency policy.Works cooperatively with others including all staff, supervisors, administrators, co-workers, individuals served, community professionals, customers, vendors, and the public.Follows instructions.Is a positive role model for individuals served and Agency staff.Contributes to a work atmosphere in a manner that is positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous.Uses technology for the completion of specified job duties.Assumes other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as needed.EDUCATION:Master's degree in speech pathology from an accredited college or university, plus a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association or eligibility for such certification.Must have a current license from the State of Maryland to practice speech pathology.EXPERIENCE:At least one year experience working with persons with appropriate populations including individuals with disabilities or children, depending on the program.Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency's insurance carrier and by Agency policy.May require the use of a car based on assignment.Total Rewards (For Full-Time Employees = >30 hours/week):Competitive PayMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceTuition Reimbursement optionsFlexible Spending AccountsLife InsuranceDisability InsurancePaid Time Off403(b) with Employer MatchEmployee Recognition ProgramsEmployee Referral Bonus opportunitiesLinke Resources is a search firm with an expertise in nonprofit executive search and outsourced recruitment across a variety of sectors, including behavioral and traditional healthcare, developmental disabilities, long-term care, and education.
