WE OFFER OUR GRILL COOKS:Weekly paychecksCompetitive wagesStable hours (choose full-time or part-time)FT associates will be considered for permanent employment RESPONSIBILITIES OF GRILL COOKS:Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food productsFinal plate preparation, including garnishing and preparing appropriate garnishes for all itemsMemorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portionsOperate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to sanitation rulesRegulate temperature of broilers, grills and roastersWash, cut and peel meats and vegetables prior to preparing them for cookingLabel food items appropriately and arrange them in an aesthetic mannerClean and sanitize grilling and broiling equipment after use, and ensure equipment maintenanceEnsure refrigeration, and make sure that food items are appropriately thawed before usingManage food inventory, discarding any expired foods-handling, storing, and rotating properlyKnow and comply with preset recipes, standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and proceduresStock and maintain levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service periodUse and maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipmentPrepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRILL COOKS:A minimum of 2 years' experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, 6 months in a similar roleBe able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 poundsBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)Have a copy of an updated Immunization record, including influenza and TB REQUIREMENTS FOR GRILL COOKS:Clean, friendly, and professional appearancePositive attitude and strong work ethicTeam player who works well with othersThrive in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and customer service skillsResponsible & dependable, with reliable transportationAll candidates must be 18 years of age or older to applyAll candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.All candidates must pass a pre-hire drug screen7 Years of clear background required!
