You will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment, ensuring product availability, and driving sales through effective communication and merchandising strategies. *Duties* * Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs. * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering. * Maintain store appearance through effective merchandising and stocking practices. * Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement. * Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. * Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers. * Adhere to phone etiquette standards when answering customer calls or inquiries. *Skills* * Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences. * Proficiency in cash handling and basic math for accurate transaction processing. * Experience in retail sales with a solid understanding of retail math principles. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members. * Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. * Familiarity with merchandising techniques to create appealing product displays. * Previous experience in a grocery store setting is preferred but not required. * Ability to supervise others effectively, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
