Director of Operations
United Piping, Inc. is seeking a Director, Greater USA Operations to lead operational performance across a large regional footprint within the continental United States, excluding the greater Chicagoland region. This role is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and profitable project execution while supporting regional growth, customer satisfaction, and team development.The Director, Greater USA Operations will work closely with Group Managers, Project Managers, Estimating, Business Development, and Field Leadership to ensure strong project delivery, operational consistency, and continuous improvement across the region.Key ResponsibilitiesLead regional operations and support safe, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.Oversee Group Managers, Project Managers, and other assigned operational leaders.Partner with Estimating and Business Development to support proposal development, pricing strategy, and operational planning.Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, customer relationships, and operational risks.Support job kick-off, best practices, field audits, and project execution standards across the region.Review contracts, change orders, subcontractor and vendor relationships, and other commercial matters as needed.Drive accountability, team development, and continuous improvement across a geographically dispersed operation.Travel regularly to jobsites and operating locations throughout the assigned region.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.8+ years of relevant experience in industrial construction, operations, project management, or a related field.Proven leadership experience across multiple teams, projects, locations, or business areas.Strong knowledge of project execution, estimating, job cost management, scheduling, and customer support.Experience working with contracts, subcontractors, vendors, and change management processes preferred.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Experience in industrial piping, fabrication, or heavy industrial construction preferred.Work Environment and TravelThis position is based primarily in an office environment but requires travel throughout the continental United States, excluding the greater Chicagoland region. The pay range is $175,000 - $215,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
