The selected candidate will work within a fast-paced, interactive, and innovative research team to assist in the development of novel antibodies. This role will require a highly cross-functional skillset, including cell biology, immunology, and protein engineering.Requirements:ResponsibilitiesDesign and perform studies critical for antibody discovery and validation, including protein expression, purification, and analysis (e.g., CHO / 293T transfection, Protein A or G purification, SEC / SDS-PAGE / Western blot characterization), binding assays (e.g., ELISA, flow cytometry, SPR, BLI), functional assays (e.g., microscopy, fluorescence reporter assays), and immunological assays (e.g., ADCP, ADCC)Support translational studies that further elucidate the mechanism and biology for drug candidates, including potential biomarker developmentAnalyze experimental data and present findings to the team.Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and scientific publications.Participate in project meetings and contribute to the design and planning of experiments.Communicate effectively with team members and external collaborators.Contribute to due diligence and gap analysis on potential new GondolaBio assetsEducation, Experience & Skills RequirementsPh.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline with 2+ years hands-on industry experience. M.S. and B.S. candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficiency in molecular biology techniques (e.g., cloning, PCR, Gibson assembly, Golden Gate)Proficiency in protein expression and purification methods (e.g., mammalian, insect, and bacterial expression systems).Experience with antibody screening and developability assays (e.g., ELISA, flow cytometry, SPR, BLI, developability assessmentsExperience working with cell lines in tissue cultures, running western blots and cell-based assays.Experience with downstream immunological assays (e.g., ADCP, ADCC, CDC, multicolor flow cytometry)Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong scientific background and achievements in bioscience and translational medicine, ideally demonstrated by scientific publications, presentations, and/or patentsProven track record of successfully working in research programsStrong understanding of drug discovery and development processesExcellent communication (written & verbal) and organizational skillsAbility to think strategically and execute experiments effectivelyExperience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partnersDemonstrate creative 'out of the box' thinking to solve complex technical problems and champion innovative technologies to achieve project goalsCommitment, drive, and ownership mindsetWhat We Offer:Patient Days, where we are fortunate enough to learn more about the lives we are looking to impact and a real exchange of ideas as to how we can improve our effortsA culture inspired by our values: put patients first; think independently; be radically transparent; every minute counts; and let the science speakCollaborative business environmentExcellent compensation package (Base, Performance Bonus, Equity)Excellent benefits packageFlexible PTOA fast-paced, data-driven, work environment with world-class R&D minds and capabilitiesWork with the most productive groups of R&D operators in the industryA platform for meaningful scientific contributions to shineThe base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 per year.
