Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Location: Anchorage, AKPosition Overview:We are seeking a full-time Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join a collaborative medical team in Anchorage, Alaska. This position offers a 7 on/7 off block schedule with 10-hour shifts, providing an excellent work-life balance in a dynamic inpatient setting.The provider will be responsible for managing medical care for patients ages 5+, including admissions, follow-ups, diagnostics, and discharges, while working closely with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.Schedule:7 on / 7 off block schedule10-hour shiftsFull-timeResponsibilities:Perform initial medical admission evaluations and complete history & physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admissionConduct follow-up visits, ongoing assessments, and discharge planningManage diagnostics, treatments, and medical care for patients ages 5+Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to develop integrated treatment plansCo-manage patients with complex medical and behavioral health comorbiditiesProvide medical consultations and recommend appropriate diagnostic testing and treatment plansEducate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle modificationsQualifications:Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)Active or eligible Alaska Nurse Practitioner licenseExperience in hospitalist, inpatient, or behavioral health settings preferredStrong clinical, communication, and collaboration skillsBenefits Eligible!
