To be successful in the role, you must be able to represent A-1's core values of Own It, Passionate, Honesty, and Respect , along with the complete knowledge, experience, and skills in all sales transactions.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneDuties/Responsibilities:Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers (Builders & Framers) in the light frame construction industry focusing on (but not limited to) multi-family construction.Develop plans, implement strategies, and generate leads to expanding the customer base in the assigned market/regionGenerate sales opportunities through research on client needs and industry competition which meet the company's profitability and growth goalsEffectively demonstrate the features and benefits of company products and servicesEffectively plan and conduct sales presentations for current and prospective customers of A-1 products and servicesFocus on servicing accounts located in the general designated areas but follow the accounts wherever they build projects within the A-1 service shipping area.Prioritize understanding customer needs, jobs, and long-term value creation.Persistent and results oriented, follow up and focus on moving deal forward.Identify and locate new clients through a variety of methods, including networking and cold callingResponsible for the development and performance of all sales-related activities in assigned territory.Provide information and other bid specifications to customersAnswer and clarify inquiries from customers regarding products and the industry at largeCollaborate with VP of Sales and other department staff, to confirm that jobs are processed with accuracy, efficiency, and that products are distributed properlyPeriodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to VP of SalesMeet sales quota(s) and goal(s)Attend and participate in all company-sponsored training programs, as requiredTrouble shoot field issues, which may be complex in natureProactively recommend adjustments to current product lines to ensure that pricing remains competitive in the local marketRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent sales and negotiation skillsDeep knowledge of prefabricated components, lumber, and operations.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization existsReliable, thoughtful, cooperative, builds trust and supports customers and internal teams alike.Organized with attention to detailProven ability to build and maintain relationships with clientsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareQualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business or construction-related field preferredMinimum of 5 years of proven success in truss systems, lumber, or similar field requiredExisting book of business or established network connections requiredPhysical Requirements:Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift 25 poundsMust be able to Travel to meet with clients or potential clients regularly.
