Electrical Asset Management Engineer
Description Highlights of the job We are looking for an Electrical Asset Management Engineer to lead the lifecycle management, performance optimization, and risk mitigation of electrical assets across EPCOR USA. This role also serves as the technical owner of the Arc Flash Program, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement of electrical safety and reliability. This position will be based out of our Glendale, AZ office and will be reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Planning. What you'd be responsible for Electrical Asset ManagementDevelop and maintain asset management strategies for electrical equipment including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, relays, and distribution systemsEstablish asset criticality rankings, condition assessment methodologies, and lifecycle plansAnalyze asset performance and maintenance data to inform capital planning and risk mitigationSupport long-term capital planning and prioritizationMaintain accurate electrical asset dataCollaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teamsProvide technical guidance and training on asset management and arc flash safetySupport incident investigations and root cause analysesDevelop engineering standards, specifications, and guidelinesReview and approve system modifications and changesEnsure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, IEEE standards Arc Flash Program ManagementAct as technical owner of the Arc Flash ProgramEnsure arc flash studies meet NFPA 70E and IEEE 1584 requirementsManage study scope, schedule, and contractor coordinationMaintain system models and protective device dataOversee labeling and field validationSupport PPE selection and energized work planningEstablish governance processes for system changes What's required to be successfulBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, or asset managementExperience with arc flash studies and power system analysisExperience with analysis softwareStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsPE license or ability to obtain within 2 yearsCertified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)Strong analytical and quantitative skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsLeadership and organizational abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel Why EPCOR?
