Senior Developer - Microservices & Cloud Solutions

Terms of Employment• W2 Contract, 6 Months • Remote Opportunity (Candidates highly preferred from Raleigh, NC)The Senior Developer leads end-to-end analysis of complex business functionality, designs technical solutions, and implements enterprise-grade software. Acts as a technical lead, working independently and within teams, driving secure, scalable solutions in healthcare IT.Core Responsibilities• Serve as technical lead on development projects, guiding strategy, design, and implementation.• Analyze business requirements and create technical specifications, conceptual designs, and solutions.• Develop and deploy microservices, APIs, and integration solutions.• Ensure platform security (authentication, JWT, AWS Gateway integration).• Drive DevOps enablement: CI/CD pipelines, GitOps deployments, automated testing, and documentation.• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and ensure quality through unit, integration, and performance testing.• Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical solutions with business needs.Required Skills & Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 10+ years of software development experience.• Strong expertise in C#, .NET, REST API design, JWT/OAuth, AWS (API Gateway, IAM, ECS/EKS, RDS, CloudWatch), Docker, CI/CD, GitOps.• Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and enterprise applications.• Proficiency in SQL, relational and non-relational databases.• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and enterprise architecture.• Healthcare IT experience preferred (Medicaid/Medicare, HIPAA compliance).Milestones1. Platform Security – Authentication microservice, JWT validation, AWS Gateway integration.2. Core Microservices – Deployable Member, Case, Provider, Interaction services and APIs.3. Quality & Enablement – Shared libraries, Dockerized setups, test coverage, performance testing.4. DevOps – CI/CD pipelines, GitOps deployments, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
