This is a high-impact role. Accurate estimates directly protect project margins. The right candidate understands that a bid is not just a number — it is a commitment that drives procurement, labor planning, and profitability. You will work within a team of estimators, interface directly with project managers, and serve as a critical checkpoint between the sales process and field execution.What You Will DoEstimation and Takeoffs (Primary Focus)• Develop detailed, accurate estimates for siding, roofing, gutter, and related exterior installations based on project specifications, blueprints, and site conditions.• Use PlanSwift to complete material takeoffs efficiently and with precision.• Calculate material quantities and labor costs in alignment with company pricing standards and margin requirements.• Compile thorough bills of materials including all components, accessories, fasteners, and underlayment.• Prepare and submit comprehensive bids on time, meeting builder deadlines.Project Handoff and Operations Support (Secondary Focus)• Upload finalized estimates, scopes of work, and supporting documentation into JobNimbus to ensure field and project management teams have complete, accurate job files.• Serve as a resource for project managers during the handoff process — verifying job details, clarifying scope, and resolving discrepancies before work begins.• Review bills of materials against awarded contracts to confirm alignment; flag and resolve any gaps before procurement.• Collaborate with the estimating team and operations leadership to improve accuracy, reduce rework, and protect margin on every job.Communication and Vendor Coordination• Act as a liaison between builders, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather project information and negotiate material pricing as needed.• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders regarding estimate status, scope clarifications, and project timelines.• Monitor and incorporate current market pricing and product changes to maintain estimate accuracy.What We Are Looking For• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in new construction with exposure to siding, roofing, or exterior envelope systems.• Proficiency with PlanSwift or comparable takeoff software; willingness to learn and optimize within our existing toolstack.• Familiarity with JobNimbus or similar project management platforms is a plus.• Strong attention to detail — the ability to read complex drawings, identify scope boundaries, and catch discrepancies before they become field problems.• Solid understanding of material specifications, construction sequencing, and how scope decisions affect total project cost.• Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working alongside project managers and field leadership.• Self-directed, organized, and accountable — able to manage multiple bids simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy.Compensation and Benefits• Base salary commensurate with experience — competitive within the market for qualified estimators.• Performance-based bonus program tied to company growth and individual contribution.• Health insurance.• Paid time off: 7 days PTO plus 8 paid holidays following the probationary period.• Hybrid work flexibility available — this is not a fully remote role; regular in-office presence in Hendersonville, TN is required.• Career growth opportunity within a company that is scaling rapidly across multiple states.Work Environment and Requirements• Based in Hendersonville, TN — candidates must be able to commute reliably.• Standard Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour days.• Primarily office-based with hybrid flexibility as performance and role allow.• Must be able to work independently and as a contributing member of an established estimating team.We are an equal opportunity employer.
