Electronics Technician

The Electronics Technicians will support both onshore and offshore operations, in support of existing and new drilling systems.DutiesAssume responsibility for the safe and efficient installation of PROD electronic, electrical and control systems equipment during mobilizationEnsure that the regular preventative maintenance activities are performed in a safe and timely manner to prevent downtime whilst offshoreAssume responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the PROD system, as instructed by the Site SupervisorReporting to the Site Supervisor all potential hazards and abnormal situations, ensuring troubleshooting and repairs are executed as requiredRaise corrective actions for all non-conformancesIdentify areas requiring improvement and/or auditRequiredCertificate of training in electronics related disciplineCapability to operate, service and troubleshoot electronics, electrical, comms, and control systems related to subsea equipmentCapability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams and detail drawings, and troubleshoot systems related to subsea equipment and on deck support equipmentAbility to work with colleagues at all levels of the operations team to achieve operational goalsAbility to work in a highly pressurized and fast paced environmentSelf-motivated and ability to detect and resolve problemsAvailable for extended periods offshoreMinimum 5 years industry experience in related areasMinimum 3 years offshore experience (preferably in the ROV/subsea drilling industry)
