Field Accountant

FIELD ACCOUNTANT Muncy, PA (Remote with On-Site Project Work- 3-4 times per year) $50,000- $65,000We are seeking a Field Accountant to support ongoing construction projects and serve as a key financial partner to operations. This is a highly visible, hands-on role working directly with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure accurate job costing, payroll processing, and financial tracking in real time.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the action, working closely with field personnel, and playing a critical role in keeping projects financially on track.Why This Role?100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision (including dependents)401(k) with match (3% up to 6% through Nationwide)Strong stability with a tenured workforceOpportunity to be a trusted partner to operationsHybrid flexibility with remote work most of the yearGenerous PTO (12–15 days to start) + 8 paid holidaysOVERVIEW OF THE FIELD ACCOUNTANT ROLE:Review and validate employee timecards for accuracyEnter and track labor hours in Vista for union employeesAssist with onboarding and proper classification of field personnelEnsure compliance with union rules and agreements for time reportingFlag errors or discrepancies in labor hours promptlyEnter and manage purchase orders (POs) and job cost codingSupport billing processes and ensure proper documentationHandle AP/AR tasks, reconciliations, and expense trackingMonitor job costs including labor, materials, and equipmentIdentify and flag cost overruns, miscoding, or inefficienciesWork directly with Project Managers and SuperintendentsAct as a financial liaison between accounting and field operationsProvide real-time insights to help teams stay on budgetSupport bidding processes and project setup as neededPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE FIELD ACCOUNTANT:High school diploma required; additional accounting coursework a plus2+ years of experience in: Timekeeping / union labor tracking, ORConstruction accounting / job costing / AP/ARExperience working in a fast-paced, transactional environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsComfortable working with field teams and non-corporate environmentsExperience with Vista or similar ERP systems is a plus#INAPR2026 #ZRCFS #LI-BN2
