Our goal is flexibility for you in planning your schedule.Essential FunctionsThe LPNis responsible foradministration of all medications and treatments (except those specificallydesignatedfor an RN) during their shift, according to the established medical and nursing care plan. Works under the direction of the Head/ChargeNurse to provideoptimumnursing care to all residentsofthe unit.Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms,reactionsand progress of residents and discusses findings withthe NurseManager/Charge Nurse.Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures,physicianorders, and Department of Health regulations.Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order andestablishedpolicies and procedures.Discusses the need todiscontinueor changemedicationfortreatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse.Orders prescribed medications,notifiespharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy.Education and ExperienceFormal Education:Graduated an accredited school of Licensed Practical NursingExperience:License, Registration, Certification Requirements:CurrentNew York StateLicensed Practical Nurse License,Eligibility to work in United States
