Senior Engineering Manager, TestA global leader in advanced interconnect solutions is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager, Test to lead the strategy, execution, and long-term development of production test across high-speed cable assembly products, including backplane and near-ASIC solutions.This role is responsible for overall performance, capability, capacity, design, development, and standardization of automated test systems across multiple product segments. The position provides senior leadership across people, technology, and execution, ensuring production and validation test solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business growth.The successful candidate will lead managers, supervisors, technical leads, and senior engineers while driving global alignment of automated test strategies, best practices, and continuous improvement across multiple sites. Close partnership with Product Development, Signal Integrity, Reliability, Manufacturing, Quality, and Software teams will be critical to ensuring test readiness, risk mitigation, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganizational Leadership & People ManagementProvide senior leadership for the automated test engineering organization, including managers, supervisors, technical leads, engineers, and techniciansSet expectations, define annual responsibilities and performance objectives, and drive succession planning and career developmentOversee workforce planning, recruiting strategy, onboarding, and talent developmentBuild a high-performance culture focused on accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvementStrategy, Capability & Technology RoadmapsDefine and execute long-term automated test strategy across multiple product segmentsOwn global roadmaps for test automation frameworks, fixture strategy, instrumentation, and data pipelinesDrive adoption of global standards, best practices, and design reuseLead capital planning and investment prioritization for automated test infrastructureProgram Execution & NPI ReadinessEnsure production test plan readiness for all new product introduction and sustaining programsRepresent automated test engineering in program reviews, risk assessments, and leadership updatesIdentify and mitigate technical, schedule, and capacity risks related to test readinessCross-Functional & Customer AlignmentPartner closely with Signal Integrity, Reliability, Manufacturing, Quality, Software, and Design Engineering teamsServe as the senior escalation point for complex test and correlation issuesSupport customer engagements related to test methodology and production readiness as neededContinuous Improvement & Operational ExcellenceEstablish KPIs to measure test effectiveness, yield impact, and execution efficiencyDrive improvements in automation coverage, test cycle time, and cost of testPromote disciplined documentation, configuration control, and change managementRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)10+ years of experience in automated test engineering5+ years of progressive engineering leadership experienceStrong understanding of automated test systems, fixtures, and production test methodologiesProven ability to lead global teams and align across functionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with high-speed measurement technologies such as VNA, TDR, oscilloscopes, and BERTsBackground in test automation software and data analyticsExperience with NPI processes, quality systems, and manufacturing environmentsDemonstrated ability to build long-term technical and organizational roadmaps
