Assistant Project Manager
Position Summary THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN HEBBRONVILLE, TEXASAssistant Project Manager – Construction & UtilitiesThe Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and utility projects from initiation through closeout. This role works closely with the Project Manager and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and client requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing day-to-day project activities for construction and utility projects, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and external partnersSupport compliance with company policies, client requirements, and project-specific proceduresPromote and enforce job site safety standards in alignment with company and regulatory guidelinesAssist with project planning, budgeting, estimating, and cost trackingSupport subcontractor coordination, including onboarding, scope reviews, and performance monitoringHelp prepare and review project documentation such as contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reportsTrack project schedules and milestones, identifying potential risks or delays and escalating issues as neededAssist with billing, invoicing, and collection activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingCoordinate with utility providers, inspectors, and local authorities as requiredParticipate in project meetings and provide updates to the Project Manager and senior leadershipSupport closeout activities, including punch lists, documentation, and final deliverablesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)2–5 years of experience in construction and/or utility project support or coordinationFamiliarity with utility infrastructure projects (electric, gas, water, telecom, or similar)Working knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and cost controlStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management or construction softwareAbility to work collaboratively with field personnel, subcontractors, and clientsCommitment to safety, quality, and professional standardsPRO030Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
