In this role, you’ll partner closely with a Project Manager while building the skills to independently manage project delivery—from planning through execution—while developing strong client relationships.This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step into project leadership, gaining hands-on experience managing scope, budgets, schedules, and land acquisition efforts tied to critical energy infrastructure.While this role is remote, proximity to Michigan is strongly preferred due to regular client engagement and regional travel.Project Delivery & ExecutionSupport the Project Manager in implementing project plans, including scope, schedule, staffing, and budgetsMonitor project progress, analyze performance, and proactively address risks or delaysCoordinate land and ROW activities including easements, rights of entry, surface agreements, and related documentationMaintain organized project files and ensure compliance with Atwell quality standardsAssist in managing project financials, including budgets, invoicing, and tracking performanceTeam & Client CoordinationServe as a key point of coordination between internal teams, subconsultants, and clientsHelp assemble and support project teams, ensuring alignment and productivityCommunicate project updates clearly to stakeholders and leadershipContribute to a collaborative team environment and mentor junior staff as you grow in the roleBusiness Development & GrowthSupport proposal efforts, presentations, and client follow-upsHelp identify opportunities for continued or expanded work within existing client relationshipsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partnersProfessional DevelopmentContinue building technical expertise across land, engineering, and project delivery disciplinesParticipate in professional organizations, training, and industry events to expand your network and knowledgeQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Land Planning, Land Surveying, or related field4 years of experience in land, engineering, environmental, or project coordination roles (energy/utility experience required)Exposure to land and ROW projects, including easements, property rights, or acquisition supportUnderstanding of project lifecycle management, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordinationStrong communication skills with the ability to work across teams and with clientsExperience with tools such as Deltek Vision or similar project management systems is a plusProfessional certifications (AAPL, SR/WA, PE, RLA, etc.) are a plusDisclaimer While AI tools may support your application process, this role is built on human talent.
