Construction Manager
Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Construction Manager to manage day-to-day construction activity at Centro Plaza and related Prime Developers projects. This role is responsible for sourcing, hiring, and coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing their work on-site to ensure quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, vet, and secure qualified subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, framing, HVAC, finish trades, etc.) for active and upcoming build-outs
Negotiate subcontractor bids, scopes of work, and contracts
Schedule and sequence subcontractor work across multiple building spaces/tenant suites
Conduct regular site walkthroughs to inspect work quality, safety compliance, and progress against schedule
Serve as the primary point of contact between ownership and subcontractors/trades
Track project timelines, flag delays early, and resolve issues that arise on-site
Ensure work meets code, permit, and inspection requirements; coordinate inspections with the City of Leander/Williamson County as needed
Manage project budgets at the trade level, review invoices/pay applications, and approve payments in line with completed work
Maintain accurate records: contracts, change orders, punch lists, and progress documentation (photos, reports)
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and ownership on design/build questions that arise during construction
Support pre-construction planning: scope development, subcontractor bid packages, and timeline estimates for new tenant build-outs
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Superintendent in commercial construction or tenant build-outs
Established network of reliable subcontractors in the Central Texas / Austin metro area preferred
Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management
Working knowledge of local permitting and inspection processes (Leander/Williamson County a plus)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills — able to manage multiple trades and personalities on-site
Comfortable reading architectural/engineering drawings and specs
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to work independently with minimal oversight
Valid driver's license; ability to be on-site regularly in Leander, TX
Preferred
Experience with retail, office, or mixed-use commercial tenant improvements
OSHA 30 certification
Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
Pay: $60,325.95 - $80,489.32 per year
