Power Electronics (Charging) - Design Release Engineer
The Power Electronics Design and Release Engineer will be responsible for the activities related to Power Electronics components (Converters, Inverters, AC and DC charging devices) designs for Electrified Vehicle applications.The Responsibilities include but not limited to:* Working with power electronics suppliers to ensure corporate requirements and specifications, as well as industry best practice design features and processes, are implemented for manufacturing, assembly, reliability, etc.* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation outlining best practices supporting the organizations internal continuous improvement initiatives and the development of product technology roadmaps.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or related degree field5 years of relevant experience3 years of engineering experience in high voltage/power electronics components or similar productsDemonstrable understanding of power electronics and devicesUnderstanding of electrical engineering protocols and standardsWorking technical knowledge in applications engineering and product design/development (specifically within an automotive context)Working level knowledge of DVP&R and DFMEAGood analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly motivated and self-starterDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentWorking level knowledge of Power Electronics analysis and simulations toolsAbility to interface professionally with key customers, cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/managementStrong verbal and written communication skillsAble to manage multiple responsibilities while being mindful of deadlinesMust be task oriented, detail oriented, and accurate with workPreferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in Electrical EngineeringDRE and product launch ExperiencePower electronics/electrical models and simulation experiencePower electronics specifications expertiseElectric motor and powertrain controls experiencePrinted Circuit Board (PCB) design and fabrication experienceSemi-conductor manufacturing knowledge
