Campus Store Sales & Service AssociateThe Campus Store Sales & Service Associate provides frontline service and support for campus store operations, ensuring an efficient, customer-focused experience for students, faculty, and visitors. This role is responsible for point-of-sale transactions, inventory management, merchandising, and assisting with online and sponsored student orders. The Campus Store Sales & Service Associate also supports general office and clerical functions, maintains store organization and cleanliness, and contributes to the overall success of retail and café operations. Working under the direction of the Campus Store Manager or designee, the Operations Associate upholds service excellence while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and inventory control.The employee will demonstrate TSTC Core Values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and community members.Customer Service Provide assistance to all customers while maintaining positive relations. Deliver courteous, professional, and responsive service in person, by phone, and electronically.Sales and Cash Handling Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system, process transactions, and issue receipts. Receive and account for cash, checks, money orders, credit card charges, and sponsored student purchases in accordance with TSTC policies. Maintain accurate register balances and handle refunds per established guidelines.Inventory and Merchandising Support statewide campus store operations by maintaining and organizing inventory, preparing merchandise for retail display, and assisting with stock counts. Tag and arrange merchandise, restock shelves, and help with ordering and receiving products.Order Processing Assist with online, departmental, and sponsored student orders by preparing charges, verifying paperwork and identification, and maintaining organized files for tracking purposes.Clerical and Administrative Support Perform general office duties including operating office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines. Answer telephones, take messages, and provide administrative support to the Campus Store Manager or designee.Store Appearance and Maintenance Perform light housekeeping to ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment. Maintain proper store layout, display materials, and café area readiness.Collaboration and Support Assist in college events such as graduation order processing, and provide backup support for café operations and other campus store activities as assigned.Required Qualifications Graduation from High School or GED equivalent. A minimum of one year of experience in retail, customer service, or inventory management. Ability to operate PC-based cash register and inventory systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and the public. Demonstrated ability to handle monetary transactions accurately. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications Experience in a higher education or campus retail setting. Familiarity with point-of-sale and inventory control software.
