CPU Server Software Development Engineer
Position Overview: We are looking for a Server Security Software Development Engineer to join the server CPU team and develop test software for server security features. This role focuses on Linux-based, driver-level software development and security testing within a semiconductor/server CPU environment.The engineer will work closely with server CPU specifications and cross-functional engineering teams to understand security feature functionality and develop comprehensive positive and negative test cases to validate security features.Key Responsibilities:Develop test software for server CPU security features using C, C++, and Python.Work primarily in a Linux-based development environment, including driver-level development.Review server CPU specifications to understand feature functionality and expected behavior.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on security feature validation.Develop and execute positive and negative test cases for server security features.Validate security functionality including encryption, key generation, response validation, and security testing.Understand firmware implementation and how firmware interacts with server CPU and platform architecture.Debug software and platform issues using x86 assembly when required.Apply strong knowledge of server architecture, CPU architecture, and server security architecture to test development and validation.Work with PCIe architecture and protocols as part of server/platform-level validation.Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong software development experience with C and C++.Strong Python development/scripting experience — must have.Strong Linux development experience.Knowledge of server architecture and CPU architecture.Strong understanding of server security architecture and security features.Understanding of firmware implementation.Experience with x86 assembly, particularly for debugging.Ability to understand technical specifications and translate feature requirements into test cases.Experience developing positive and negative test scenarios.Strong system/platform architecture knowledge.Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of PCIe architecture and protocols.Windows Server knowledge.Experience in the semiconductor, silicon, or CPU industry.Experience working with server CPU/platform technologies.Strong system/platform architecture experience may reduce the need for extensive hands-on debugging experience.
