Job Title: Generalist or Co-Occurring Specialist Location: 6465 College Park Sq. Suite 300, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. Community and Office Based Department: ACT Team Immediate Supervisor: Team Leader Terms: Non-exempt- Full Time Requirements: Weekdays M-F 8:30am-5:30pm with one late day 12:00pm-8:00pm, Rotational On Call a week at a time, Weekend Sat- Sun Optional About the Role: Works as part of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team to assure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and function optimally in the community. Responsible for carrying out rehabilitation and support functions including but not limited to service coordination, psychoeducation, education, and skill building for recovery and mental health stability, community resource linkage and coordination, mental health support services, symptom management and crisis intervention. Ideal candidates demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of serious and persistent mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and substance use disorders. They possess strong skills in completing client assessments, progress notes, individual service plans, and quarterly reviews with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Their expertise includes utilizing assessments and service plans effectively in service planning, along with adept case management practices and accessing community resources. Additionally, they exhibit a willingness and capability to collaborate with individuals experiencing co-occurring serious mental illness and disorders, as well as their families/caregivers and other relevant agencies. Crucially, they excel in communicating information clearly and accurately in diverse contexts. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, psychology, or human services related field with at least one-year applicable related experience working with individuals with serious mental illness in the community setting. Must have a valid Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult/ Trainee (QMHP-A/ T) certification from the Virginia Department of Health Professions. Additional CSAC or CSAC-S preferred.
