If you're a compassionate professional who appreciates stimulating yet meaningful work, we warmly invite you to join our all-star team.This is a very part-time position doing oversight and signing off on providers' notes.What You'll DoFollow all Avenues established medical care protocols, working closely with medical team.Oversee medical monitoring and medication management for duration of clients' stay in treatment.See patients on sporadic basis to address concerns raised by medical team.Perform any medical interventions as necessary.Address any urgent medical needs so as to enable clients to prioritize recovery.Communicate and collaborate with extended treatment team to ensure seamless coordination of care.Accurately and comprehensively document all medical care and interventions in KIPU EMR.Adhere to all treatment timelines and maintain an efficient appointment schedule.What We're Looking ForVirginia State Board of Medicine licensed physicianDEA registration for prescribing controlled substancesSpecialization in addiction medicine preferredAdherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standardsKnowledge of and compliance with Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs regulationsCollaborative work with other healthcare professionalsContinuous professional development through CMEExperience in SUD treatment settings desiredWhy Join Us?Avenues features a rich, fulfilling workplace culture where each person is valued and greatness is pursued.
