Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)Locations: Allentown, Easton, Freemansburg, Macungie & Tatamy, PACompany: Resources for Human Development, a part of Apis ServicesEmployment Type: Per DiemAt Resources for Human Development, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. Our team is passionate about providing compassionate care and support tailored to each person's unique needs. We are currently seeking motivated and caring individuals to join us as Per Diem Direct Support Professionals in the Allentown, Easton, Freemansburg, Macungie & Tatamy, PA areas. 7a-3p, 3p-11p & 11p-7a shifts available! Per diem DSPs are eligible to work at different shifts and different locations throughout the area. You only need to work one 8 hour shift per pay period in order to stay in our per diem relief pool.Our Evergreen program is a community-based program providing comprehensive residential and day services in staffed homes. We support adults with autism, dual diagnoses of intellectual disabilities and mental illness, developmental disorders, and other neurobiological disabilities, significant mental health issues, as well as medical complications. Emphasis is placed on developing communication skills, building social supports, enhancing daily living skills, supporting the community and social integration, providing trauma-based therapies, and mental health stabilization-with the goal of increased independence and participation within the community.Job Summary:As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and providing emotional support and companionship.Key Responsibilities:• Support clients in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.• Foster a positive and respectful relationship with clients while promoting their independence and personal choices.• Assist clients in developing skills for everyday living and participate in social and recreational activities.• Document client progress and maintain accurate records of care and support provided.• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in a related field is a plus.• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related field preferred.• Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.• CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).Ability to participate in background check and driver's record check.Why Join Us?• Competitive salary and benefits package.• Opportunities for professional development and advancement.• A supportive and caring work environment.• The chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.About Company:Apis Services, Inc.
