Housekeeper (Full Time Position)La Amistad Behavioral Health Services is set in quiet, residential areas in Maitland and Winter Park, Florida. We treat individuals ranging from children and adolescents to adults. We have treatment programs for psychiatric issues, chemical dependency issues, and dual diagnosis for those suffering from both. The therapeutic environment at La Amistad is serene and homelike, and the semitropical climate of Central Florida allows for year-round activities. The greatest asset at our mental health facility is our staff, comprising highly-qualified psychiatrists, psychologists, professional nurses, social workers, therapists and psychiatric attendants who work as a team to uphold La Amistad's reputation for excellence in helping patients resolve behavioral health problems.The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean environment on all the residential units, the learning center, the multi-purpose building and the administrative offices. Essential job duties include:Cleaning residential rooms and baths ensuring all patient areas are disinfected and meet property standardsHandling linens and personal clothing items in accordance with appropriate Infection Control PoliciesDisposing of trash dailyVacuuming all carpets daily, vacuuming upholstery as neededDemonstrating Service Excellence with internal and external customersWashing windows, inside and outside of facilitiesCompleting detail cleaning dailyBeing knowledgeable of and complying with the Quality Improvement Monitor of the departmentFollowing Hazardous Materials procedure for infectious diseasesAttending and participating in all departmental meetingsQualifications:Education: High School education or GED preferredYears of experience needed: Minimum one (1) year in healthcare environment preferredLicense/Certification: N/ASkills: Must be able to operate mechanical equipment used in the laundry and housekeeping department.
