Regional Security Manager

The Regional Security Manager manages the implementation of customer's security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures in field locations to ensure ongoing maintenance of security and compliance with regulatory and voluntarily enjoined programs.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the implementation of customer's security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures in field locations to ensure ongoing maintenance of security and compliance with regulatory and voluntarily enjoined programsEstablish and maintain cooperative working relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement and other related government agenciesConduct investigations that involve thefts or suspected thefts, significant violations of law, security related incidents involving employees, information security breaches, threats of violence to workforce, significant product count variances, risks across business groups, undercover investigations and other highly sensitive matters involving customer's workforce and assetsCoordinate investigations as appropriate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agenciesManage and monitor an investigation until a full resolution is reachedReport all losses orally and through detailed written reportsEnsure incident reports and other required information is entered into the corporate databaseConduct security audits as necessary and in compliance with the corporate security auditing policyWork with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security auditsDevelop and perform security risk assessments based on vulnerability criteria to determine appropriate levels of protectionTravel to field locations to conduct investigations as neededWork collaboratively with managers to resolve issues involving their stations; and to improve overall security effectiveness in targeted areasConduct security training and on-site training for identified incidents to prevent further lossesFacilitate and promote activities to create security awareness within the organizationEstablish and maintain a rapport with client security managersEnsure surveillance systems, security systems and alarms in field locations are maintained and operationalKeep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizationsQUALIFICATIONS:Must possess one or more of the following:Bachelor's degree in safety, security, criminal justice, or a related fieldAssociate's degree in safety, security, criminal justice, or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of security management experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of security management experienceMinimum of one (1) year of protective service industry experience in a leadership roleKnowledgeable and experienced with physical security, security principals, investigative processes, report preparation and interviewingStrong working knowledge of pertinent laws and the law enforcement communityAbility to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgroundsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsDemonstrated ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, and vendorsProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and security reporting database softwareExcellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation and negotiating skillsAbility to establish and manage vendor relationshipsExcellent problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to handle sensitive documents and information with a high-level of discretionAbility to effectively communicate security related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staffExperience with, or ability to understand internal and external implications of solutions proposed, potential areas of risk and methods to limit liabilitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Advanced degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Business, or related fieldsPrior security-related management experience in a multi-location environmentAmerican Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certificationBENEFITS:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceEnrollment in our company's 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirementsEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
