Full Stack Engineer (React + Node)

About the Role: WiftHub is looking for a Founding Full-Stack Engineer (React + Supabase) to work directly with the founder on building and launching the platform's core features. As one of the first engineers, you will contribute across the full product lifecycle, from initial ideas and technical design to development, testing, and deployment. This role offers broad ownership of frontend and backend development, including user interfaces, database design, authentication, and application infrastructure. You will also help shape the product architecture, feature roadmap, and engineering practices as the platform develops. The position is suited to a developer who enjoys building products from scratch and taking responsibility for turning ideas into working software.

Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain the WiftHub web application using React, TypeScript, and Vite. Develop and optimize backend services using Node.js and Supabase Edge Functions. Design database schemas and optimize queries using Supabase and PostgreSQL.Implement authentication features using PKCE and OAuth. Develop core platform features, including supplier onboarding, buyer feeds, product and quote management, and notifications. Collaborate with the founder and designer on user experience decisions, layout systems, and feature roadmaps. Improve application performance, caching, and build pipelines using Netlify and GitHub Actions. Maintain application security, code quality, and scalability across releases. Help establish and improve internal engineering standards and development workflows. Contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from feature planning and implementation to deployment.

Required Qualifications: Strong proficiency in React and Node.js. At least one modern project successfully shipped. Understanding of SQL and data modeling with Supabase or PostgreSQL.Experience working with REST APIs and authentication systems. Ability to take ownership of features and deliver them from initial concept through deployment. Interest in building products from scratch and working in an early-stage startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements: Familiarity with TypeScript, TailwindCSS, and Framer Motion. Experience with Vite for frontend development. Exposure to Supabase Edge Functions and PostgreSQL-based application development. Familiarity with Netlify, GitHub Actions, and Supabase CLI.Experience using tools such as Figma, Postman, Notion, and Slack. Location and Work Arrangement

Work Arrangement: Fully remote and remote-first.

Location: Candidates can be based anywhere in the world. Team Structure: Distributed team working across California and India, with asynchronous collaboration.
