Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Make an impact in educational settings while advancing your occupational therapy career in a dynamic, full-time contract position supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year. As one of only two OTs serving the district, you'll enjoy a balanced caseload (approximately 30 students) and the opportunity to collaborate with staff to implement effective Tier 1 supports. This role is located near Puyallup, WA and requires an on-site presence—virtual services and COTA supervision are not part of this assignment.Desired Skills and Qualifications:Experience in a school-based occupational therapy setting, with a strong understanding of the unique needs within educational environments.Current Washington OT license, or eligibility/willingness to obtain licensure prior to starting.Capable of managing a varied caseload while providing strategic input for Tier 1 interventions and staff collaboration.Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork and parent engagement.Professional references must be provided as part of the application; the district will conduct reference checks as part of the hiring process.Key Responsibilities:Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students on your caseload, supporting their IEP and 504 plan goals.Engage with teachers and staff to promote Tier 1 supports within classrooms and across the school community.Document progress, assessment findings, and service delivery in compliance with school and state guidelines.Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams to advocate for students' needs.This position offers the chance to work closely with another OT and have a meaningful influence in students' school experiences.
