Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of the children, families and adults we serve.Responsible for the clinical supervision and administrative oversight for up to 6 Service Coordinators, as well as monitoring and managing the LIDDA functions according to established policies and procedures. Responsible for understanding and assuring that the Service Coordinators fulfill and perform their duties.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job.Assures the completion and submission of documentation by team members on Service Intervention Notes, Service Plans and other related documentation in order to meet funding source requirements.Communicates with customers to assist the consumer/family/guardian to make an informed provider choiceAssure the coordination and communication of LIDDA customer transfers or permanent discharges to support customers choice and allow accurate budgetary reporting.Assure the completion and review of the ICAP assessment to assure level of need and provider reimbursement rateAssure the completion and timely submission of the ID/RC Assessments for all Medicaid waiver programsMonitor and review the PDPs, authorizations, and other documentation for team caseloadAssist in hiring and termination issues for team.Monitor personnel issues, such as Leave Requests, Performance Evaluations, and Training for all members of team.Assist management with special projects or assignments to insure the efficient operation of the CenterMaintain required and unit-specific training compliance for team membersMust be able to work flexible hoursPerforms other duties as assigned.CompetenciesThe competencies listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the ethical standards of conduct, state contract, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal lawsAnalytical skills, professional acumen, business ethics, thorough understanding of continuous improvement processes, problem solving, respect for confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines.Ability to handle multiple task and special projects simultaneously.Able to work autonomously with minimal or no supervision.Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, education, and criminal justice.Customer Service Experience Preferred.Requires positive attitude on working with developmentally disabled customers.Supervisory experience a plus.Bilingual in Spanish and/or American Sign Language a plus (salary differential available).Mathematical SkillsBasic math skills required.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.Computer SkillsUse computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).Prefer experience with MyAVATARAbility to utilize Internet for resources.Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsCurrent State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment.Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Centers liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.
