Family Medicine PhysicianThe Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered primary care across all age groups. This role focuses on preventive health, chronic disease management, and acute care, using a holistic approach to improve patient outcomes.This is a hybrid position involving both hospital-based and outpatient clinical responsibilities. The physician is expected to see approximately 1424 patients per day while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated care. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, or clinical staff as part of an academic or collaborative care environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and detailed medical historiesOrder, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studiesDiagnose medical conditions and develop individualized treatment plansProvide patient education on preventive care, including screenings, immunizations, and lifestyle modificationsRefer patients to appropriate specialists when necessaryMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient medical recordsEnsure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and institutional policiesParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary collaborationMaintain knowledge of and comply with regulations related to infection control, patient safety, privacy, pain management, and opioid prescribingQualificationsEducation & CertificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institutionBoard Certification in Family Medicine (required)Active and unrestricted state medical license (required)Valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substancesSuccessful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)Compliance with continuing medical education (CME) requirementsExperiencePrior clinical experience in family medicine, primary care, or a related setting preferredProven ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered careRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong clinical judgment and decision-making abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical softwareHigh emotional intelligence with the ability to engage diverse patient populationsStrong teamwork and leadership capabilitiesKnowledge of applicable federal and state healthcare regulationsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsStandard outpatient clinical environment with occasional extended hoursProlonged periods of sitting, standing, and walkingManual dexterity required for clinical proceduresAbility to lift and carry up to 25 lbsExposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases (OSHA Category I)Core ValuesCourtesy: Demonstrates empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity toward patients and colleaguesQuality: Commits to excellence through accountability, precision, and continuous improvementEfficiency: Optimizes resources and workflows to deliver high-quality careService: Ensures a positive, seamless patient experience while maintaining confidentialityTeamwork: Collaborates effectively and contributes to a supportive work environmentCommunication: Communicates clearly, listens actively, and maintains open dialogue
