Engineer

This role is focused on developing embedded firmware for industrial and IoT connectivity solutions. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers to design, implement, and optimize low-level code that ensures devices operate reliably and efficiently. The position emphasizes hands-on work with STM, Nordic, and Digi microcontrollers, particularly utilizing Zephyr RTOS. Your contributions will directly impact the functionality and security of cutting-edge IoT products.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement embedded firmware for industrial and IoT devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Develop and integrate drivers and protocol stacks for various microcontrollers, focusing on STM and Nordic products.Troubleshoot complex hardware and firmware integration issues, collaborating with the hardware engineering team.Ensure that firmware adheres to security best practices, particularly in relation to low-power and battery-operated devices.Optimize firmware for low-power operation to extend battery life in field applications.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 or more years of professional experience in embedded systems development.Hands-on experience with Embedded C/C++ programming in bare-metal or RTOS environments.Proven experience with STM microcontrollers, Nordic nRF series, and Digi modules/radios.Strong familiarity with Zephyr RTOS and its application in embedded systems.Additional Details:Employment Type: Contract-to-HireLocation: Houston, TX 77401Join a collaborative team working on innovative IoT and industrial connectivity projects, where you can make a significant impact while enjoying a competitive salary and equity opportunities. #11862
