Assistant General Manager (AGM)As a pioneer in practitioner assisted stretching, Stretch Zone is seeking an energetic, forward thinking and customer service-oriented individual with a background in either sports science or medicine, kinesiology, personal training, physical therapy, or massage therapy to join our team.PositionThe ideal Assistant General Manager (AGM) will oversee studio operations from sales to staff scheduling and stretching. The AGM will assist the General Manager and/or Studio Owner with new membership sales and all studio operations to ensure optimal studio performance while on duty. The AGM exhibits exemplary assisted stretching techniques, leadership and superior client service.QualificationsSeeking a personable, customer service oriented individual with high ethical standards and integrity, sales leadership expertise and an appropriate professional image. The ideal candidate is also flexibleable to work weekend hours and morning or evening hours during the week as needed. Additional required qualifications are as follows:Strong communication, sales and customer service skills requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills in person, via the telephone and emailPreferred background: Exercise, Health or Recreational Science Degree, Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer or Sports Coach, Physical Therapist, PT Aide, Chiropractor, Pilates, Yoga Instructor, or Dance InstructorHave at least 1+ years of fitness, health or wellness sales experienceA strong and demonstrated affinity for and/or experience in the Health, Wellness & Fitness industry are preferredAbility to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workdayProfessional, punctual, reliable and neatStrong attention to detail and accuracyTrustworthy and ability to handle confidential informationAbility to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgmentAbility to work well independently and collaboratively with General Manager and/or Studio OwnerProficient computer skills requiredEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork Saturdays and/or SundaysEnsure implementation of Stretch Zone's standard policies and procedures for business, customer and financial managementEncourage and motivate clients throughout their stretch sessionsExhibit leadership by engaging in all studio activities (lead by example)Drive new and existing client membership sales through outside sales, lead generation, business development efforts and client retention effortsManage the staff scheduleSuccessfully resolve customer service challengesAssists the General Manager and/or Studio Owner in meeting performance metrics, revenue, inventory and facility maintenance as neededAssists the General Manager and/or Studio Owner in the execution of the company's marketing and social media efforts to promote the studio and brand as neededContribute to and maintain the Culture of Stretch Zone*Maintain a clean and tidy studio and/or follow the routine studio cleaning checklistOversee functions of the front desk, including but not limited to: answering phones, greeting prospective and current clients, check-ins, booking appointments and dealing with any customer concernsMarketing outside and at community events is a mustMust successfully complete our 80 hour training program where you will be taught the Stretch Zone methodologyOther duties as assignedCultureAt Stretch Zone, we work as a team and everyone is expected to contribute. Compensation: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearMost stretching methodologies try to wait out, overpower, trick, or ignore the stretch reflex. The proven way to increase performance and mobility is to work with the stretch reflex with the revolutionary techniques available through the Stretch Zone Methodology (SZM). The SZM Practitioner identifies any postural and movement limitations, then tries to correct or mitigate them through specific applied stretching sessions. With a balanced system the customer will reach their true maximum potential, whether they are an professional athlete, weekend warrior, couch potato, or suffering from chronic pain or illness.A career with Stretch Zone means not just meeting and maintaining a level of excellence, but continually improving in skill, to further one's expertise and to advance the industry. As a minimum prerequisite to SZM we recommend a personal training certification in ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA or NCSF and/or a license in therapeutic massage or other accredited body work.
