At Solution Community, we are turning that vision into reality, driving transformative change that reshapes the future.The Role: DevOps EngineerAs our DevOps Engineer, you will be the backbone of our Build Team, ensuring that our infrastructure, pipelines, and environments are reliable, secure, and scalable. You’ll work side by side with engineers, designers, and product owners to make sure our platform runs smoothly from development to deployment.Conditions: Location: Remote Commitment: Part-time (volunteer, pro bono role) Contribution Requirements: minimum 10–15 hours a week; minimum 3 months.What Will You Do?Infrastructure & Deployment:Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure across AWS and Google Cloud.Set up and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline deployments.Ensure reliable environments for development, staging, and production.Collaboration with Build Team:Work closely with engineers to support smooth releases and resolve deployment issues quickly.Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and best practices.Provide guidance on DevOps principles, automation, and efficiency.Security & Reliability:Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system health and uptime.Apply best practices for infrastructure security, backup, and recovery.Conduct regular performance and reliability checks, troubleshooting issues proactively.Tooling & Workflow:Use GitHub for version control and code collaboration.Manage backend services and integrations with Supabase.Help automate repetitive tasks to make engineering workflows smoother and faster.Who Are We Looking For?Problem-Solvers & Builders:At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud.Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (GitHub), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).Familiarity with Supabase or similar backend-as-a-service platforms.Solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments.Strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable working in a remote, multicultural, and fast-paced environment.Bonus Points For:Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.Previous work with distributed, volunteer-based engineering teams.Background in scaling platforms from MVP to global production.What We Offer:Global Collaboration: Partner with world leaders and strategists from Forbes 2000 Global legends.
