Our client is seeking an Incident Response Consultant to join their team. As an Incident Response Consultant, you will be part of the Security Operations Department supporting incident response and cybersecurity threat mitigation efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Incident Response ConsultantLocation: RemoteMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W-2 basis without current or future visa sponsorshipDuration:12+ months with highly possible extensionWhat's the Job?Lead Incident Response engagements by delegating workstreams, analyzing artifacts, and maintaining central oversight to ensure seamless customer outcomes. Apply rigorous investigative workflows to every engagement, documenting evidence and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) to build a robust internal knowledge base. Lead or support the delivery of both off-the-shelf and custom proactive cybersecurity services, leveraging data-driven insights to align security offerings with client operational goals. Actively collaborate on the creation of new proactive service initiatives and service delivery models to enhance organizational capabilities. What's Needed?Consulting experience with a proven ability to manage customer expectations and maintain accountability throughout the incident response lifecycle. Crisis communication skills, with the ability to remain composed and clearly communicate technical findings to stakeholders during high-pressure incidents. Technical proficiency in SIEM and EDR tools, specifically hands-on experience utilizing Splunk and CrowdStrike for threat hunting and incident analysis. Academic background with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Industry-standard certifications such as SANS (GIAC), ISC2 (CISSP), or EC-Council, with advanced DFIR-specific training (e.g., GCIH, GCFA, or GCFE) highly encouraged.
