Machine Operator-2nd Shift

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator to work at the Freeport, IL Honeywell location. Mon - Fri 2:30pm to 11pm OT available Job Summary The Machine Set-Up and Operator ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. Duties/Responsibilities Operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts. Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed. Observes each machine to verify quality performance. Verifies measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers are in proper working order. Performs other related duties as assigned. Thorough understanding of mechanics and other properties of machines. Ability to follow proper safety protocols. Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Willingness to build new skills and learn in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school diploma preferred. At least one year of experience as a machine operator required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand 8 hours Must be able to work occasional Saturdays Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
