The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a variety of culinary courses and contribute to the development of future culinary professionals.Program Description:Our program offers an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the culinary industry. The curriculum includes a comprehensive range of courses that cover foundational and advanced culinary techniques, nutrition, food service, and moreResponsibilitiesResponsible to model the University's Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission as a Catholic and Lasallian institution of higher education.-Teach one or more classes in a designated area-Develop and deliver engaging course content for the following courses:Food Service & HospitalityIntroduction to Culinary ArtsGarde MangerBaking and PastryFish, Shellfish, & PoultryPrinciples & Production of Stocks, Soups, & SaucesCulinary Principles & MeatsNutritionLatin American CuisineEuropean Cuisine-Provide students with hands-on training and practical experience in culinary arts.-Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical tests.-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and integrate current practices into the curriculum.-Support students in developing their culinary skills and career readiness.-Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure program quality and effectiveness.-Teach courses in both Spanish and English, catering to a diverse student population.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in an area preparing the individual to teach the Culinary courses.Extensive professional experience as a chef in a variety of culinary settings.Previous teaching experience in a culinary arts program is highly desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.Ability to inspire and motivate students.Commitment to the mission and values of St. Augustine College at Lewis University.Preferred QualificationsEssential DutiesWork hoursPart-time; as needed basisPosting Detail InformationPosting NumberF00427Posting DateClosing DateOpen Until FilledNo
