COVID vaccine CardRoles and responsibilities:* Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.* Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.* Respond promptly to emergency situations using Rapid Response protocols.* Apply isolation precautions and follow infection control standards.* Manage peripheral IV lines and perform phlebotomy as needed.* Deliver oxygen therapy through nasal cannula, face masks, and non-invasive methods; manage tracheostomy care when required.* Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient status accurately in Cerner (EMR).* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.* Ensure compliance with facility procedures and standards in a Level 1 Trauma setting.* Participate in mandatory floating across units or facilities within a 50-mile range, when needed.* Maintain professionalism and adaptability while working three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.* Adhere strictly to time-off and attendance policies, especially around holidays.* Maintain up-to-date BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS preferred.* Deliver compassionate and evidence-based care in alignment with hospital protocols.
