The warehouse worker maintains accurate inventory records, ensures items are stored safely and efficiently, and supports overall warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesReceive and count stock items accurately and record data manually or using a computer system.Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.Verify inventory counts by comparing physical stock to recorded data and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors as needed.Store items in an orderly, accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure clear identification.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Keep detailed records on the use and condition of stock and stock handling equipment, including any damage or loss.Examine and inspect stock items for wear, damage, or defects and report any issues to supervisors promptly.Provide assistance, guidance, or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers as needed.Determine appropriate storage methods, identification, and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors, and facility capabilities.Perform packing, shipping, and receiving tasks to support daily warehouse operations.Adapt to changing priorities and workflow in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.Essential SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving ability to resolve inventory and storage issues.Ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining strong attention to detail.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support secure and efficient warehouse operations.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs with cart assistance.Ability to stand for 8 or more hours during a shift.Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach regularly to handle stock items.Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and focus.High school diploma or GED required.57 years of related warehouse, stockroom, or storage yard experience required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with packing, shipping, and receiving processes.Familiarity with inventory control practices and stockroom organization.Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Ability to follow established safety procedures and warehouse policies.Reliability and punctuality to support consistent warehouse operations.Why Work Here?You will join a team-oriented environment where your experience and attention to detail directly support smooth and efficient operations. You will work on-site Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., with the expectation to close at least one evening per week (approximately 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.). A defined schedule will be provided during onboarding. The role requires standing for extended periods, frequent bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs with cart assistance. You will use basic computer systems for inventory and data entry, as well as labeling tools, stock handling equipment, and other warehouse tools. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with an emphasis on maintaining clean, organized storage areas and following established procedures.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Frisco, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
